Clifford Bailey
Conductor -

Born in Fairbanks, Alaska, I was raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Southwest Louisiana is truly home for me. After graduating from Lake Charles Boston High, I went on to attend Louisiana Technical College – Sowela Campus, where I obtained an associate degree in computer technology.
I have held positions in several fields.  I was the Telemedicine Hub-site Coordinator, administered to 36 different satellite sites, worked as a grant writer, and was the Microcomputer Specialist. From there, I accepted a position as assistant manager with Market Basket Food Stores, then on to General Manager of local Burger King, Retail Specialist for Sprint Wireless, Inside Sales for TNT/Gas & Supply, Sales Consultant for Oak Creek Homes of Lake Charles, Business Operations Manager for Resolute Construction LLC. Most recently, I have obtained my Real Estate License.
I have served on the Board of Directors for the Lake Charles Chapter of the Cajun French Music Association (CFMA) for the past 15 years. I am currently Chapter Treasurer, Webmaster, and Merchandise Chairman. In addition, I have worked to help secure grants to further our mission. I also served on the National Board of the Cajun French Music Association.  In true Louisiana fashion, I am very involved with Mardi Gras. I was a member and past king of the Krewe of Illusions, and I am currently a member of Krewe De Carnival. I also served on the Mardi Gras Southwest Louisiana (MGSWLA) and Executive Board for over ten years.

I am a member and Secretary/Treasurer of the VFW Auxiliary to Post 2130 in Lake Charles. My mother’s side of the family was in the military, starting with my great-grandfather, Eddie Meaux, who served in World War ll. His son Edward Meaux served our country in the Air Force. Edward’s son Jimmy Meaux served in the Air Force during Vietnam. My Father, Robert Lester Bailey, whose grandfather, father, and nephew also served their country in the Army. My Father, Robert Bailey, served in the Air Force during the Vietnam era in 1969 until his retirement in 1989. Also, many other family members in my family served our great country. So, as you can see, the roots of this country run deep and are very close to my and my family’s heritage. I am busiest with being a proud Uncle of four Nephews, a Niece, and a Godfather to Five.
